Photovoltaic panels
Do you want to save on your electricity bill? Take advantage of the energy of the sun.
Solar panels have a set of cells that convert the sun's energy into electricity.
Independent, island-type systems can be made; the panels charge batteries by means of a regulator; then an inverter converts it to alternating current for the house. But this requires maintenance and battery replacement, is more cumbersome and more prone to failure.
In a city the most convenient and cheapest is to connect to the electricity company network. During the day the panels generate electricity, which is used first for household consumption; The surplus is sent to the CFE. At night, when there is no sun, electricity is received from the CFE; for this they install a bidirectional meter. Actually the CFE is used as our battery.
The aim is to install the panels facing south, in a place preferably with sun all year round, without shadows during the day.
The panels have an aluminum frame, and we make an aluminum structure so that it is more durable, and galvanic current is not generated as if it were a steel structure.
Types of inverters:
You can connect the panels in series, and connect this to a central inverter, the size of which depends on the number of panels.
The disadvantage is that if a panel is in the shade in the morning or in the afternoon, by some trees or a fence, the production of all the panels in this series will drop to this same level; For example, if it only generates 20% of what it could generate being totally exposed to the sun, the whole set is lowered to 20%.
Or micro inverters can be used. In this case, each panel is connected to an inverter, which is connected directly to the CFE grid. Each panel and inverter works independently; If you are in the shade, you contribute what you can, but it does not affect the others who can contribute much more while in the sun.
Today it is the most used form for small and medium installations; there are micro inverters for 2 or 4 panels, and the prices are competitive compared to central inverters.
Monitoring
A data management interface can be installed. This receives and stores the information from the panels; and transmits them to the company's server.
We connect to this server through a web page or a mobile application, and in this way we can see daily production data, with curves that show if there was sun or if clouds passed; they give us statistics by month and year; You can also see how each inverter and each panel works, how much each panel produces at any given time, if it is in the shade, or if it has a fault.
